Agnes Green Thompson was born in Montpelier, Virginia on April 20 th , 1941 to the late William Henry and Rosa Lee Green.
Agnes attended Hanover County Public Schools and graduated from John M. Gandy High School class of 1959. She gave her life to Christ and joined the Bethany Baptist Church where she served in numerous capacities, but her passion was singing in the choir.
Agnes had various occupations, but she loved cooking, serving her community and taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Hanover Branch of NAACP and the Eva M. Jackson Chapter 211 Order of Eastern Star.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, Clarence Alvin Thompson, and two sons Michael Anthony and Clarence Edward Thompson; three brothers, William, Thomas and Garland Green, and three sisters: Ann Winston, Edith McCowan and Barbara Clinton.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Dawn Thompson, and Ann Holloway (Charles) grandchildren: Tamya Thompson, Michael Thompson (Alexis), Charles Jr., and Christian Holloway; great-grandchildren: Logan, Autumn & Madisyn (Unborn); two brothers: Herman (Jeanette) Green of Montpelier, VA and Tony (Keiko) Green of Waipahu, Hawaii; one sister: Shirley White of Newport News, VA; five sisters in law: Lucille Green, Kathy Green, Betty Johnson, Elsie Taylor and Evelyn Garner; one brother in law: Ellis Raymond Thompson, and a host of nieces and nephews, one devoted, Timothy Phillips; cousins, neighbors and devoted friends.
