At an early age Angie excepted Chris t as her Savior ; she was christened and learned the ways of the Lord at Calvary Episcopal Church in Hanover Va. Later in life Angie discovere d that the Lord had blessed her with a gift to praise Him with song.
She joined several choirs where she sang, I mean really sang, sharing this gift as she continued praising our Lord Jesus Christ.

Angie attended Caroline High School and a fter graduation she entered culinary apprenticeship at the Williamsburg Inn in historical Williamsburg, Va. It would serve her well considering all the delicious food she would make for family gatherings and at home for her family. A fter marrying her husband Darryl in 1986 they would go on to have 2 boys Darryl Wayne and Rashad . The family lived in South Korea for 5 years . Angie found her love of Korean food and culture. She immensely enjoyed her time there where she developed lifelong friends hips that have endured miles of separation and the test of time. After moving back to the U.S., the family has ma de their home in Yorkto wn Virginia for the past 28 years. Over that time , she would go to cosmetology school and become a licensed cosmetologist. She loved to make people feel as beautiful on the outside as they did on the inside. She would eventually pass on her knowledge of c osmetology to students at New Horizons Regional Education Center as a cosmetology instructor . Angie found much joy in teaching students and helping them make a better life for themselves. She was always the shoulder to lean on in the family. You could call her when you had a rough day and Angie would always find a way to make you laugh. It was her
gift , and it will be missed by all . Every life she touched was always better for it, as y ou couldn't help but to feel her light come through you , when you were in her presence.

On May 31, 2022 Angie was called home to heaven where she will be watching over us all with her beautiful smile and keeping us safe and blessed. Yes, Heaven gained a true "Angel"!

Don't Grieve for Me, Now I 'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I Took His hand when I heard him call:
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play .

Task left undone must stay that way;
I found my place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void :
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Ah yes, these things I too shall miss .

Be not burdened with times of sorrow:
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life's been full, I savored muc h;
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my life seemed all too brief:
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me;
God wanted me now,

He's set me free.
