Annette "Kitten"
Howard York
November 15, 1961 – October 24, 2025
In Loving Memory of Annette "Kitten" York
A soldier to say the least, Annette "Kitten" York was one of the strongest, funniest, and most straightforward people you could ever meet. She wasn't crazy or over the top — just honest, sometimes in ways that could catch you off guard.
Kitten was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer about four years ago. The doctors said she wouldn't make it, but we all knew better than to believe that. The fight inside the woman we loved was far greater than any prognosis. She kept pushing forward, giving us four more years of laughter, love, and strength.
She was a mom, a friend, and everyone's "Aunt Kid." Kitten is survived by her three beloved children: Monet, Montai, and Monteesha — the "3 M's," as her license plate proudly read, or the "M&M Kids" as everyone at church called them.
We loved our mom deeply, and she loved us even more. She lived her entire life without complaint, always putting her children first. Strong and resilient to the very end, she taught us what true courage looks like.
God called his angel — his soldier — home to guard the gates of heaven. And though we miss her every day, we know she's still watching over us with that same fierce love and unshakable spirit.
