Obituary

On Tuesday September 2, 2025, Annie Garrison departed this life at Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond Virginia where her health began to fail her at the age of 85. She was born May 25, 1940, in Manquin, Virginia to the late Clarence and Edith Moore. She received salvation on October 10, 2004, under the minister of Bishop joseph W. Simms Sr.

Annie attended a little schoolhouse (Enfield School) in Manquin, Virginia and attended Hampton Holmes Elementary School after segregation.

Annie was happily married to the late Raymond L. Garrison. This union was blessed with eight beautiful children. She was dedicated to her family as a stay-at-home mother and loving wife. Later in life she entered the work force as a domestic worker in Hanover Virginia for several years. She acquired part-time employment with Lee Davis High School as a custodian and after her service of 15 years she retired.

Her most treasured asset was her family and friends. In her spare time, she loved to watch the soap operas and game shows. Upon watching Bluey with the great grandson (Trio) which gave her great joy to watch him laugh and react to Bluey. She had such a sweet, loving and generous personality. We will miss her hugs of comfort, words of encouragement and unconditional love.

She leaves to cherish her beloved memories, Sharon Washington (Orlando), Juanita Harris (Keith), of Caroline Count, Jenora Garrison, Bridgett Marrow (Edward) of Richmond, Virginia, Spencer Garrison (Carmen) of Chesterfield, Virginia. Devoted siblings; Clarence Moore of Richmond, Virginia, Carlessia Lemon, Mildred Berkley, Carl Moore (Rhonda) of King William, Virginia, one sister-in-law Joyce and one brother-in-law John of King William, Virginia and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.
