Arnold Bernard Hayes was born March 2, 1941 to the late James and Alma Hayes. He departed this life August 23, 2023.

Arnold accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Francistown Rd. He attended Henrico County Public Schools, graduating from Virginia Randolph High School Class of 1960. He joined the United States Air Force in 1968 serving for 20 yrs. After retiring from the military, he worked in security for Bellwood Defense Supply Center, Richmond, Va.

Arnold was a member and deacon of the Union Baptist Church, Philadelphia, Pa. He was a member of the Golf Boyz of Richmond, Va., and he also enjoyed the monthly Men's Breakfast Group.

A quiet, humble man but strong in his love of the word of God, he enjoyed teaching and sharing God's Word with all he met. He recognized the importance of family staying together and keeping God as your center.

Surviving are his daughters, Shanique and Shenae Savage; brothers, Edward (Anna), Kenneth (Patricia), Eugene (Josephine); sisters Sharlene (Vincent) and Willnette; four grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, including the mother of his children, Denise "Princess" Savage.
