Ashley Elaine Toliver, a loving mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and niece transitioned Tuesday 4 May 2021. She was born October 1, 1990 in Fredericksburg, Virginia to Kermit Gwathmey Jr and Juanita Toliver- Pleasants. Ashley attended Caroline High School where she participated in JROTC, and graduated in 2009. Because of her strong leadership skills, she held several managerial positions in retail and hospitality. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, singing, cooking, and watching reality tv shows.

One of Ashley's proudest moments was when she became a mother to Armani Monique Toliver on July 19, 2011. Bo as she affectionately called her.

Ashley had a heart of gold and a willingness to give to everyone.  It's impossible to know the number of lives and hearts she impacted. Her spirit, positive personality and infectious smile was well known in the Caroline community.

Ashley was preceded in death by her grandfather Kermit Gwathmey Sr. and two step siblings Taneikqwua Eura and Jamar Edler.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her HEART & SOUL,  daughter, Armani Monique Toliver, father, Kermit Gwathmey Jr, mother, Juanita Pleasants, step father, Willis Pleasants, sister, Victoria Gwathmey, step brother, Marcellus Edler, grandparents, James & Shirley "Laverne" Toliver, Frances Gwathmey, aunts and uncles Agatha "Dee" Johnson (Jerry), Jeanette Toliver, April Toliver, Gwendolyn Parker, Olivia Anderson (Michael), Shelia Harold, TanYa Williams (Lawrence), and Larry Gwathmey. Devoted friends Jasmine Moore, Brittany Derricott, Lakia Lewis, and Stephanie Washington- Baker. And a host of relatives and friends.
