Barbara Johnson Thompson, 68 transitioned peacefully to eternal rest on October 23, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Charlotte Johnson.

Born July 1, 1952 she was affectionately known as Sissy.  Sissy is survived by two loving sons Kenneth Jr. and Kevin Thompson (Kristina) her devoted caretaker and daughter in-law, and their father Kenneth Sr.  She was known as Mema to her three grandchildren, Demario Melendez, Nina and Julian Thompson and one great-grandchild Kehlani Melendez. She is also survived by two brothers, Michael Phillips and twin brother Aubrey Bubba Johnson (Carolyn), two sisters, Annette Winston (Donald) and Bernita Lucy Sims as well as a  host of nieces and nephews.
