Betty G. Wood  was born January 16, 1941, to the late Robert, Sr. and Vergie Dyer. She gained her heavenly wings on May 20, 2023. She attended Abner Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Wood and her parents Robert and Vergie Dyer.

Betty was born in Beaverdam Va. She later moved to Hanover County, where she attended school. She graduated from John M. Gandy School and later attended cosmetology school.  She worked at Safeway in Ashland Va., Burger Chief, Hannaford, Elizabeth Adam Crump Manor, and retired from Morningside Assisted Living.

Betty is survived by her two children, Kimberly D. Wood and Brian D. Wood; two sisters Helen Edmond (Julies), Dorothy Dyer Bragg, and sisters-in-law Mattie Dyer, Alberta Taylor, Evelyn Wood, Mildred Wood,  Alberta Taylor, and a host of other family members and friends.
