Beverly Larnell Mickens Anderson entered into eternal peace on September 6, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her parents; Edmond and Landonia Mickens; three sisters, Adele Johnson, Landonia Shelton, and Jane Woolfolk, and two brothers; Jack Mickens and Edmond Mickens, Jr.

Beverly, affectionately known as "BeBe", was born August 9, 1950 in Ashland, Virginia.  She accepted Christ at an early age and became a life-long member of Providence Baptist Church in Ashland, Virginia where she served as an usher, member of the hospitality ministry and former member of the gospel choir.  She graduated from Hanover County Public Schools.  For many years, she was employed with AT&T/Via Systems, which later became known as Lucent Technologies.  She completed her employment with the Hanover County Public Schools System in 2015 after 12 years of dedicated service.  To some residents on her street, she was the unofficial investigative reporter of Jamestown Road, where she kept a watchful eye on everything!  She enjoyed leisure travel and celebrations with her family.  She was fun loving and an extrovert.  Laughter was all around her.  The truth be told, no family celebrations or church functions were complete without her famous deviled eggs!

She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted daughter, Angela Meekins, son-in-law, Walton Meekins, and granddaughter, MiKayla Meekins.  Two sisters, Elaine Mickens and Sarah Anderson.  Brothers-in-Law, Douglas Anderson and Raymond Shelton, Sr.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
