Catherine Lewis Harris affectionately known as "Cathy"departed into heavenly rest on June 20th, 2019. Cathy was preceded in death by her father Shellie Lloyd Lewis Sr. and grandmother Edna C. Watkins.

Cathy accepted Christ at an early age where she joined First Baptist Church, Elmont. She attended school in Hanover County where she graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1980. She later attended Pan American business college and had a successful career as a Human Resource Specialist. Working with people was her gift. Later she moved her membership to Abner Baptist Church where she was a deaconess. Cathy was an active member until her illness.

In 1985, Cathy married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Earnest Harris Jr. They enjoyed Friday nights out to eat, and spending quality time together at home. From this union came Samuel Jordan Harris and Kelsey Danielle Harris.

Blessed with an infectious smile, her spirit could light up a room. A powerful woman of God, she had few words but an abundance of love that she shared with everyone she met.

Cathy leaves to cherish her memories a devoted family, her husband, Earnest; her son, Jordan; daughter, Kelsey; mother, Edith Lewis; brothers, Shellie and Mark (Felicia) Lewis; granddaughter, Shaya Anna Lou Harris; aunts, Barbara Corum and Jane Jones; uncle, W. Scott (Margaretta) Lewis; father and mother-in-law, Earnest Sr. and Margaret Harris, sisters-in-law Sharon (Michael) Mason and Bernita Harris, nieces and nephews; Austin (Tenesha), Aaron, Christian, and Camryn Lewis, Lamerro (Heidi), Michael (Anna) Mason, and Brandon Harris, and devoted cousins; Toya Cary and Diane Marrow.
