Obituary

Charles W. Jackson, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his residence surrounded by loved ones.

He was born May 5, 1948 to Catherine Jackson and the late Charles Jackson, Sr.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Augusta and Randell Jackson and sisters, Edith Jackson and Mary Bowles.

Charles Jr. accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and was a faithful member.

Charles Jr. graduated from A. G. Richardson High School and was employed at several jobs throughout his lifetime.  He retired from U.S. Silica.  He also held down a full-time job taking care of Jackson Farm Lane, making sure his family and loved ones were taken care of until the very end.  He loved being outside working with his pigs and chickens and in the garden.  He loved his family and his family loved him back.

In 1975, Charles Jr. was joined in holy matrimony to Margaret Rose Jackson.  To this union, one son, Chris was born.  He was also an awesome devoted "Daddy" to Janice, Carolyn, and Cheryl.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 43 years, Margaret; his loving mother, Catherine Jackson; children, Chris (Dawn), Janice, Carolyn, and Cheryl; grandchildren, Sharron, Tiara, Desmond, Brailyn, Mykel, Kenneth, Labraya, and Taylor; great grandchildren, Laron and Omara; sisters, Carrie Johnson, Jessie Hooker, Sharon Roberts (Melvin), Carolyn Powell (Robert); sister-in-law, Mary Taylor; brothers-in-law, Theodore Jackson (Leatrice), Robert Jackson, Thomas Jackson (Aretha) and Phillip Mayo; god-daughter, Latonya Robinson (Harold), and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.  He also leaves devoted friends and family; Kenneth Nelson, Melvin Roberts, Robert Powells, Taylor Johnson, William Jackson, Raydell Jackson and his U.
