Charles Brooks, Jr. went to be with the Lord August 29, 2022, at Henrico Doctors Hospital on Forest Avenue. He preceded in death by his father Charles Brooks, Sr.

Charles was a graduate of Central High School Goochland County. He was a member of St. Peter Baptist Church, Glen Allen. He loved to fish, watch dog racing and we cannot forget his love for watching and cheering for his Dallas Cowboys Football Team.

Charles leaves to cherish his precious memory, his loving mother Lorraine Brooks; one daughter Melissa Long (Avery); two sons Charles Henley and Keith Brooks (Kyla); three grandchildren Marquis Henley, Kayla Newton, and John Long; three aunts Bernice Henley of Florence, Tennessee and Rev. Shirley Johnson; two uncles, Mason Henley (Gladys) and Paul Henley; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, one devoted Sheila Brown. Also, honoring Charles' memory is his devoted friend Delores McCrea.
