Obituary

59, of Henrico, VA accepted his Heavenly wings early on Thursday, January 26, 2017. He was affectionately known as Charlie 'O', Chaz, Butch, and O-Zone. Charles was born in King William, Virginia to the late Laura Bell Robinson and the late Charlie Cooper. Preceding him in death was his mother, father, and brother Harvey Robinson. He is survived by his wife Sheila Robinson, daughter Keshia Robinson, two sisters Muriel Anderson (Aaron) and Cynthia Harvey, one aunt Hardine Wilson of Columbia, SC, one uncle Robert T. Robinson, devoted mother-in-law Matilda Hence, father-in-law William Hence, one sister-in-law Diane Hence, one brother-in-law Dwayne Hence (Talisha), three Goddaughters Stephanie Young, Manessa Cammack, and Tiffany "fluffy" Hence, God-granddaughter Michaela Ross, devoted cousins and friends Leonard Green, Welford Jackson Jr., Travis Williams, Keith Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Charles graduated from King William County Public Schools in 1975. He was an employee of James River Grounds Management and FedEx. Some of his hobbies were landscaping, hunting, football, cooking and motorcycles. In 1975 he played semi-pro football, later in life he became the assistant coach of "Soul Socker" Softball team, Charles was the manager and owner of the "Charlie's Angels" Softball team, and he was the founder and president of the "Star Cruisers" Motorcycle Club, He hunted with King William, Essex, and Caroline's hunt club. He loved his yard so much that he would threaten you if you even came close to stepping on his grass! His favorite sayings were "I't all good" and "It is what it is". He loved to make other people smile. He also loved children and could often be found providing entertainment for children's parties, cookouts, and other family gatherings.

He served the Lord faithfully. He was a trustee of Providence Baptist Church, Aylett, VA. He enjoyed singing and sang in the choir at church, His favorite songs included "Something About The Name Jesus" and "The Battle Is Not Yours". He would and did do everything to help the church that he could. He truly was a man who loved the Lord. He was a great husband, father, brother, uncle, God-granddad, friend, and over all just a great man. He will forever be loved, missed, and cherished in the hearts of his family.
