Obituary

Charles Junius Shelton Jr, was born August 3, 1964, to Charles Shelton, Sr. And Gladys Lee Anderson in Richmond, Virginia.
He was educated in the Louisa County Public School System.

At an early age, Charles accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.  He joined Mt. Olivet Baptist Church of Montpelier, Virginia.
Charles had a love for cars.  Some considered him a true enthusiast.  He began working on cars at a very young age.  He held positions at multiple local garages where he was able to enhance his skills.  He was so proud of his knowledge that he passed some of his skills onto his daughter.  In addition to working at a few auto shops, he also held jobs in the surrounding area at the lumber mills.

Charles also enjoyed sitting back listening to music.  One of his favorite artists was Keith Sweat.  During a recent visit, when he heard Keith Sweat playing, he smiled and patted his feet.  Even through his illness, Stack was still present.  Robert Funn "Hard Rock" began calling Charles the name "Stack" as a result of his unmatched fighting skills.  Between his polaroid camera, fast cars, and his fun sense of humor, Charles was the life of the party.  There was never a dull moment in the presence of Stack.  He will truly be missed.

Charles Junius Shelton Jr "Stack" was called home by his Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 7, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Shelton, Sr. and Gladys Lee Anderson, and his brother, Andrew Shelton.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory, three children; Bobby Jones of Fort Worth, Texas, Komeca "Koko" Jackson of Chesterfield, Virginia and Andre Shelton of Montpelier, Virginia; one grandchild; one devoted brother James Shelton of Western Australia; two uncles Willie Thomas of Baltimore, Maryland and Augustus Shelton of Richmond, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Charles also leaves a few devoted friends and family members, Patricia Shelton Wise, Rose Smith, Stacey Shelton, Todd Shelton, Tony Mallory and his devoted daughter Koko.
