Chassidy R. Reid (Johnson) departed this life December 20, 2024. She was born May 5, 1980.

Chassidy attended Richmond Public Schools.  She enjoyed reading and writing.  Writing was as much a part of her life as eating or listening to music.  Chassidy became a best selling author with her novel Abnormal Lives , published by Simon and Schuster.

Chassidy is survived by her husband, Maurice L. Reid, son, Camrian A. R. Johnson, stepdaughter, Maleah Reid, mother, Gloria I. Johnson,  father, Kevin R. Johnson, brother, Maurice R. Johnson and his wife, Brandy, sister, Marquerite R. Smith-McBride, niece, Tiffany R. Tobey, devoted cousin and friend, Casey Brister, Father-in-law, R. Maurice Reid, Mother-in-law, Lorraine Reid; Sister-in-law, Maurissa Reid, Nephew, De Andre Reid, Uncle, Darryl Reid, and friends, Shawndell Canada and Fontay Canada.
