Clarence Alvin Thompson 80, of Montpelier, VA departed this life on August 27, 2017.  He is survived by his loving wife, Agnes G. Thompson, two daughters, Dawn Thompson, Ann Holloway (Charles) and 4 grandchildren.  Remains rest at the Henry W. Dabney Funeral Home, 518 N. Washington Hwy., Ashland where viewing will be held Friday, September 1, from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held, Saturday, September 2, 12:00 PM at Bethany Baptist Church, 14683 Bethany Church Rd., Montpelier
