Obituary

With grateful hearts and deep appreciation, we celebrate the life and legacy of our beloved Corrania Roscoe "Rennie" Wills.

On Sunday, March 8, 2026, Rennie was called home to be with the Lord. He peacefully departed this life at home, surrounded by love, with his devoted wife, Yolanda, with whom he fondly called "Legs", by his side. Rennie was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. He was a true provider; dedicated until the very end.

Rennie loved life and treasured the time he spent with family and friends. Known for his jovial spirit and warm personality, he had a way of bringing laughter and comfort to those around him. He loved relaxing in his recliner, while enjoying his favorite western shows like Gunsmoke and Bonanza. Surprisingly to some, one of his favorite television shows was The Young and the Restless. Family members affectionately nicknamed him 'Victor Newman,' not for the character's ruthlessness, but for his larger-than-life presence and the genuine respect he earned from those around him.

Married to a woman just as passionate about her football team as he was about his, their home reflected a playful rivalry. Rennie was an avid Washington Commanders fan, while his wife remains a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. During football season, a special flag was proudly displayed outside their home – one half representing the Washington Commanders and the other the Dallas Cowboys.  In many ways, that flag symbolized their marriage, two different sides united by love and adoration. For more than 40 wonderful years, they stood side by side as a devoted couple that lived life as one- creating countless stories, joyful laughter, and a lifetime of cherished memories.

Rennie was a trucker for life, dedicating over 40 years to the road before retiring in June 2025 from H.L. Williams & Son. He was known as CB Handler "Tomcat," a nickname that reflected his fearlessness and tireless work ethic. He took pride in his work and vowed never to drive a dirty truck. Whether in the scorching heat or the freezing cold, it was common to find Rennie outside cleaning his truck, even though his daily job consisted of him driving that spotless truck into the woods to haul lumber. His integrity and dedication were unmatched. He loved working and was dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in everything he did.

Rennie's heart extended far beyond his immediate family. He loved the Lord, enjoyed attending church, and generously shared his blessings and wisdom with all who knew him. Whether offering guidance to young men, or support to friends, his benevolence left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Rennie was preceded in death by his mother, Irma M. Hill-Wills; father, John Roscoe Wills; sisters, Joyce Copes, Brenda Spurlock, and Janice Wills.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Yolanda Wills; five children, Sean Bradley (LaTasha), Renada Hill, Corenzo Hill, Andrea Wills-Winston (Ernest), and Corrania 'RJ' Wills, Jr.; thirteen grandchildren, including his eldest, Renajah Savage (Trevon), who lovingly cared for him, always ensuring his comfort and peace. He also leaves to cherish three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Watkins (Herbert) and Pamela Wills; nine brothers, James, Jeffrey, Norman, and Christopher Wills, Allen Spurlock (Rebecca), John Wills (Pamela), Rodney Wills (Dianne), Kim Wills (Marquitta), and Avery Wills (Alicia); stepmother Ernestine Wills; mother-in-love Virginia Earlene Mines; and four sisters-in-law, Jeryl Childs (Kevin), Roxanne Harding (Wayne), Marita Smithers-Keller (Brent), and Marquita Mines; one uncle; seven aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.

Corrania Roscoe 'Rennie' Wills will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, faithful friend, and a man whose life was defined by family, faith, and generosity. His journey on this earth may be complete, but the love, wisdom, and joy he shared will continue to guide and inspire generations to come.
