Dale Diane Johnson departed this life during the early morning hours on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest Wesley Johnson, Sr. and Addie Bell Harris Johnson; brother, Earnest Wesley Johnson, Jr. Dale was born on January 22, 1952 in Caroline County, Virginia. She attended school there and graduated from Union High School. She worked for the Commonwealth of Virginia (Hanover Learning Center) for over thirty years before retiring. Dale joined the First Mount Calvary Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. J. L. Hobson. She leaves to cherish her precious memory a daughter, Christina Johnson; grandson, Christopher Stokes; sisters, Betty Morris (McArthur ), Judy Scott (George), Paulette Johnson and Addie Long (Maurice); aunts, Edith Williams, Virginia Gregory and Marie Fells; uncles Elmore and Curtis Harris, Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. One of the greatest joys in her life the last four years was the birth of her grandson, Christopher. He could put the biggest smile on her face even in pain or anguish.Thank God for sending her this precious gift
