Henry Robertson Nicholas entered into eternal rest on May 16, 2022. He was born in Hanover County, Virginia on March 24, 1939 to the late Thomas H. and Fannie A. Nicholas. He retired from Dupont after 34 years of service and from Henrico County School System after 5 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Eva Bentley Nicholas; grandson, Little Ron Nicholas; five brothers, Thomas R., Clarence E., Wilbur R., Bernard C. and Freddie W. Nicholas, Sr.; three sisters, Bessie L. Nicholas, Bertha A. Lucas, and Gladys B. King.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three sons, Ronald L. Nicholas, Robert, Gregory (Valerie) Bentley and one daughter, Phyliss Bentley. 12 grandchildren, one devoted, Nicole Franklin of Greenville, NC; six great-grandchildren; brother, John R. Nicholas, Sr. (Patty); nephew/brother, Melvin B. Lucas, Sr.; six sisters-in-law; God daughters, Naquita Lee and Simone Mealy, a host of nieces, one devoted, Eloise N. Miller, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mr. Nicholas may be viewed at Henry W. Dabney Funeral Home on Monday, May 23, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 12 noon at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 14476 Scotchtown Rd., Beaverdam, Va. Rev.    Dr. John W. Kinney, Officiating. Interment, Roselawn Memory Gardens.
