Deaconess Viola
Tinsley Trimiew
May 5, 1928 – July 31, 2019
Deaconess Viola Tinsley Trimiew was born May 5, 1928. She was the ninth of thirteen children born to Richard Tinsley and Mary Gaines Tinsley in Hanover County, Virginia. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Clinton Trimiew, Sr. and all twelve of her siblings. She was the ninth of thirteen children born to Richard Tinsley and Mary Gaines Tinsley
She was educated in the Hanover County School system and a graduate of the Hanover County Training School in Ashland, Virginia.
Viola accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized into the fellowship of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend Louis Dickerson. She was a faithful member of the Music Ministry, where she sang with the Senior and Sanctuary choirs, and taught Sunday School. Deaconess Trimiew dedicated her life to doing the Lord's work and served faithfully in the Missionary, REACH, Music, Golden Circle and Women Ministries.
She was married to the late Clinton Trimiew, Sr. and from their union four children were born.
She was a loyal employee for over 35 years as a Silk Finisher and Wool Presser at Hanover Cleaners, Mechanicsville, Sun Light and Windsor Cleaners in Richmond until she retired.
Deaconess Trimiew's favorite scripture is Psalm 121, "I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?" If you asked her why she helped others, she still says; "God has blessed me so I may bless others," according to Philippians 4:19. " But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus".
