Delores Diamond Anderson Spruill was born August 24, 1944 to the late James Maine Anderson and Barbara Fields Anderson.  Her father was a World War II veteran.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Haywood Spruill and a sister, Veronica A. Ferguson.

Delores obtained her formal education in the Richmond City Public Schools and then spent most of her life in North Carolina.

Delores departed this life January 17, 2019 in Clayton, North Carolina.

Delores is survived by her devoted, loving, and caring sister, Dorothea Green Dodson Motley; six aunts, Irene F. Clarke, Earlene Fields, Gearline Fields, Alice Dodson, Elaine Anderson and Janie Edwards; two uncles, Robert Fields, and Douglas Anderson; brother-in-law, Lloyd Ferguson; one niece, Yvette Motley; two nephews, Jermaine Anderson and Darrin R. Dean, Jr.
