Douglas Bragg 81, of Richmond, VA. departed this earthy life on December 27, 2024, peacefully at home.

Douglas was born to the late John Bragg and Adele Taylor Bragg. He accepted Christ at an early age, he was a member of Saint Matthews Baptist Church in Kenbridge VA.

On August 14, 1993, Douglas married Beatrice F. Goodall.

Douglas was educated at Lunenburg High School and attended Virginia Union University.

Douglas had a positive work ethic, love for reading and humorous spirit. "Dougie Poo" brought laughter to everyone's lives he touched. Douglas was friendly, outgoing and never met a stranger. He was a hardworking and giving son, spouse, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He encouraged others to read to acquire knowledge due to the influence of his mother who was a schoolteacher. He was an advocate seeking information about cultural studies and ancestry family history as a means of understanding oneself and self-empowerment. Douglas loved music and showing hospitality to others by giving memorable cookouts and other family gatherings.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents John Bragg and Adele Taylor Bragg and his brother, John Bragg.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife of 31 years Beatrice F. Bragg; five children, Dr. Latizzia Bragg-Bullock, Antoinette (Jeffrey) Goodall, Masonda Goodall, Calvin (Vineta) Goodall, and Albert Jr. (Shermel) Goodall; sister, Selena B. Greer and brothers-in-law, Waymon Greer and Clarence Fells, sister-in-law, Sarah Johnson, and one Aunt Eloise Romaine. Douglas leaves behind a host of 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
