Earl V.
Fox
August 26, 1952 – April 14, 2026
Earl Vincent Fox, lovingly known as "Butch" or "Uncle Butch" was called peacefully to eternal rest by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
He was born on Tuesday, August 26, 1952, in Washington, D.C., the third of five children born to the late Willie Samuel and Fannie Viola Fox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Elaine E. Fox Deckard; brother, Willie Fox; and brother-in-law, Rev. Clarence J. Deckard, Sr.
Earl began his walk with the Lord at an early age. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the First New Hope Baptist Church, Partlow, VA. He was a former Sunday School teacher and member of the choir.
He attended schools in Spotsylvania County, having graduated from Spotsylvania Senior High School in 1970. Earl was a very particular person. He was meticulous in everything he did and touched. Everything had to be neat and very clean, from his clothes to his cars. He was a very generous and reserved person who loved to hunt (rabbits/squirrels) and fish. His favorite fishing spot was Lake Anna. He loved traveling and drove everywhere just like his father.
Earl was very resourceful. He was skilled and gifted in building and fixing anything. He enjoyed life and along with his big heart nothing made him smile more than being with his brother Calvin. They were inseparable. Together, they watched his favorite sports, boxing and football. In fact, Earl's life-long dream was to be a boxer like Muhammad Ali. His favorite football team was the Green Bay Packers.
Earl was employed as a laborer for 29 years with Dominion Energy at the North Anna Nuclear Generating Station in Louisa, VA. He retired in 2014. He loved spending time with family and friends, enjoying life to the fullest.
Earl leaves to treasure his memory his devoted brother, Calvin Fox; devoted sister, Cynthia Fauntleroy (John); niece, Cynthia Ores (Devonte); nephew, Jason Deckard (Shena) along with a host of relatives and friends.
