Earl Preston Henley was born in Goochland County, Virginia on October 22, 1931 to Claude and Minnie Henley.  He was educated in the Goochland County public schools where he went on to work for the Virginia ABC store until his retirement. Earl loved baseball, bowling, playing the guitar, and the harmonica.  He was a member of AMF Bowling League for many years and received certificates for winning and participation.

Earl transitioned into his eternal life on December 29, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his father Claude Henley, his mother Minnie Henley, one devoted sister, Mary Jean, and three brothers, Menchion, Claude "Vert", and William "Lee".

Earl Preston Henley's life on earth is over but his memories will be cherished forever by his two daughters, Chyril Lockhart and Leslie Michelle Settles. Three grandchildren, Sumer Rollins, Machia Wood, and Toreaz Settles.  Two sisters-in-law, Mary and Lorine, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
