Williams, Edith D. , 94, of Dawn, VA passed away May 20, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Henry Williams, Sr. She is survived by her children, Arthur Johnson(Mary), Josephine Miles(Clement), Richard Williams, Jr.(Carrie), Luther Williams, Dr. Curtis Williams, Chester Williams and E. Darlene Thornton(Michael); stepson, Elder Frankie Fells (Elizabeth); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Marie Fells and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, May 27, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm at H.W. Dabney Funeral Home, 518 N. Washington Hwy, Ashland, VA 23005 and funeral service will be held 1 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 31234 Old Dawn Rd., Hanover, VA 23069. Interment will follow at Johnson Family Cemetery 28419 Gregory Road Ruther Glen, VA 22546.
