Emanuel Randolph Sims affectionately known as "SIMS" was born on February 16, 1955, in Caroline County, VA to the late Tillman and Ellen Sims in addition to being reared by Ruth Sims. He transitioned to his eternal rest on Friday, March 31, 2023. Emanuel attended Caroline County Public Schools. He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was a long-time member of Jericho Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, VA and was currently a member of Speaking Spirit Ministry, Richmond, VA. He faithfully attended Sunday School and Bible Study.

Emanuel was united in marriage to Gretchen "Denise" Minor and to this union a daughter, Kimberly "Kim" Sims was born.

"Sims" was a "HUSTLER". He aggressively did whatever it took to take care of his family and everyone else he knew was in need. Emanuel was always working, he was employed at AMF Manufacturing, Richmond International, and Dulles Airports and Richmond Times Dispatch Newspaper just to name a few. On his departure he was Owner of E's QUALITY WORK as a general contractor.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Carlton "Cowboy" Sims and Tyrone "Bobby" Sheppard.

Emanuel leaves to cherish his memories a phenomenal daughter Kimberly Sims-Sellers; an amazing son-in-love Christopher Sellers; an awesome granddaughter Krystian Gabrielle Trinity Sellers; a caring grandson Christopher Sellers, Jr.; a devoted life partner Gretchen Denise Sims and a son Darrell "DJ" Stuart, Jr.; sisters Ethel "Sweetsy" Ferguson, Claudia "Bootsy" Christian, Glenda (Allen) Richardson, Catherine Jackson, and brothers Juwan "Dave" (Ayanna) Sims and Alonzo  "Lonnie" (Marie) Sims; his cousins who were like brothers and sisters, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

Emanuel "SIMS" will truly be missed.
