Dabney
July 1, 1944 – February 10, 2023
Estelle C. Dabney was a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, church mother and lifelong resident of Ashland, Virginia. She departed this life on February 10, 2023, at age 78, peacefully with her daughter and granddaughter by her side.
Estelle was born on July 1, 1944, in Glen Allen, Virginia to the late Willie Clark and late Olivia Burton. Estelle was one of ten siblings, which included four sisters, Earnestine B. Dabney, Frances B. James, Agnes C. Page, and Alice C. Armstrong and five brothers, Robert Burton, Junius Clarke, James, Charles, and Willie Clark. On November 4, 1961, Estelle married the love of her life, Clarence Dabney of Ashland, Virginia. Estelle enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She took delight in traveling and playing games.
Estelle loved God and demonstrated her love for Christ, she joined St. Peter's Baptist Church in Glen Allen, Va. at an early age. She would later join her husband in worshipping at Providence Baptist Church, Ashland, Va. Estelle was an active church member, she served on the Deaconess Board, worked in the Youth Ministry, and participated on numerous choirs. She was active within her community and known for her vibrant attitude, her bright smile, and the love she had for her family. Estelle's legacy will live on through all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren through her loving actions and memories she made with all.
Estelle is preceded in death by, her husband of 59 years Clarence E. Dabney Sr., but she leaves to cherish her memories and long-lasting love sister Earnestine and brother, Willie Clark along with her five children, Clarence E. Dabney, Jr., Michael J. Dabney (Lisa), Ken E. Dabney, Sr., Velicia D. Davis, and Vick O. Dabney; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. Along with devoted friends Thomas and Willnette Folly.
