Eunice Earline Carter Jackson gained her wings on June 7, 2024, surround by her devoted family.
Eunice was born in Caroline County, Virginia to late the Lewis and Maude Harris Carter. Eunice was a devoted woman who dedicated her life at a young age to care for her younger siblings. She moved to reside in New York at an early age, where she obtained education in the New York City school system.
Eunice was employed as a secretary of the New York Policy Department, I Policy Plaza, New York City. She later became a secretary at Bergdorf and Goodman (Neiman and Marcus). After retirement, she worked as a home caregiver.
Eunice was married to the late Rafeal Writt Jackson, Sr. on April 20, 1967. To this union, three children were born. One preceded her in death, the late Lewis Carter.
She enjoyed time with her family and friends, especially her casino friends. Eunice spent her entire life residing in New York City. Once a year, she would come home to worship with the Calvary family for their annual homecoming and revival services.
Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Rafeal Jackson, sisters, Edith Armstead, Patsy Robinson, Helen Smithers and Doris Spurlock, and one brother Herman Leroy Carter.
She leaves to cherish her memory to her loving children Stacy Jackson and Rafeal Jackson. One granddaughter, Michelle Campbell, grandson Kevin Jackson, one sister Peggy Armstead of Williamsburg, Virginia, three brothers, Earl Carter of Rock Hall, MD, James (Eva) Carter of Hanover, VA, Robert (Christine) Carter of Ashland, VA and brother in-law Alphonso Robinson. One beloved uncle, Deacon Curtis Harris, Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews as well as other relatives and friends.
