Elder Floyd Golden Fallie held on and didn't let go until the night of October 2, 2021, when the Lord came to carry him home. He was affectionately known as "Rock" and was the middle child of Matthew and Mollie Fallie. Our beloved father, preceded in death two sons, Lazarus E. Fallie and Frederick H. Fallie, his parents, six brothers, and 8 sisters.

Elder Fallie was baptized in the name Lord Jesus Christ on February 20, 1972 at Refuge Sandston. He received the Holy Ghost and won many souls to Christ by example. He was an Elder in deed. He later transferred his membership to Community C.O.O.L.J.C., in Ashland, VA, under the leadership of his son, Elder Marloe Fallie. He was a man of few words, seldom complained, and if you asked him how he was doing his reply would be "I'm holding on".

Elder Fallie was educated through Hanover County Public Schools. He was a Master Builder and a "jack Of All Trades". He loved the Lord and spent hours reading his bible and singing his favorite song "Have I given Anything?" Even in his declining, he was known to come in church on his walker shouting to his seat.

Elder Fallie leaves to cherish a devoted wife of 71 years, Mother Alberta Fallie; four daughters, Cynthia Fallie, Doris Banks, Dr. Mary Fallie, and Carolyn Marks; two sons, Floyd Fallie and Elder Marloe Fallie (Blossom); nine grandsons, Stephawn Banks (Linda), Rico Banks, Vincent Dennis (Carla), Andre Banks, Lazarus Follie Jr., Spain Fallie (Jasmine), Joshua Marks, Kaleb Fallie, and Elon Fallie; three granddaughters, Natisha Austin, Paris Crawford (Pierre), and Lauren Marks; seven great grandsons, Jaylen, Cameron, Roman, Isaiah, Kai, Mason, and Michael; eight great granddaughters, Saniya, Makayla, Karlei, Nylah, Korrie, Ivy, Teionna, Shaniya, and Reionnna; and a host of relatives and friends, including devoted son-in-law Larry Marks. Special thanks to hospice nurse Catherine Girsh, NP, and devoted caregivers Ms. Addie Terrell & Charlene Blake. He will be greatly missed by us all.
