Garrett Norman Lacy, Jr. also known affectionately as "Pug, Doc and Lacy to those in Vegas" was called to his heavenly home early Thursday morning, March 26, 2020. Garrett was born on February 4, 1952 to the late Garrett Norman Lacy, Sr. and Marie Stevens.
Preceded in death by one brother Nelson Lacy, Grandmother Mary L. Stevens (Sam) who raised him, Aunt Florence B. Stevens (Mack) later became a mother and father to him, Grandmother Mary B. Christian and Girlfriend Marilyn Gwartney.
Garrett accepted Christ at an early age. He joined 2 nd Mount Zion Baptist Church and was baptized in Tillman's Pond. He later re-committed his life to Christ.
He leaves cherished memories to his Sisters, Gertrude Spurlock (Robert) and Mary Anderson (Aaron Sr.) along with cousins Addie Terrell and Herman Stevens who were more like a sister and brother to him. Niece Robin Smith, Nephews Roy Spurlock, Aaron Anderson, Jr. Ricky Anderson, Great Nieces Dystany Spurlock, Dalliss Braxton and Iyana Hudson. Great Nephews Aaron Johnson, Izick Hudson and Kamon'te Chandler. A host of cousins and friends, one devoted Cousin and Friend Walter Terrell.
Lacy had many talents. Lacy attend Culinary School in Vegas and enjoyed cooking, enjoyed Styling Hair, as a Mechanic Lacy loved working on cars, Landscaping, Drawing, Ironing and Painting. He was a Handy Man for his Friend Barbara Miles and her daughter Nina (Lala) Williams whom he considered as his goddaughter and her husband Johnny as close friends.
Due to the current public health crisis, funeral services and interment will be private.
