On the night of Friday, May 29, 2015, God in His Wisdom and Mercy called our beloved George Donald Scott, Sr. home to rest. George was born on October 11, 1934 in Caroline County, VA. to the late Ned and Mary Ellen Scott. He was one of 7 siblings. George was educated in the Caroline County Public School System. He was a devoted and faithful member of First Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Dawn, Virginia. He was employed by the D.C. Airport System for a number of years before settling in Dawn, Virginia, where he was a business owner and entrepreneur for Scott's Grill, The Meeting Place and Ranch House 33. During his retirement years, he was employed at Richmond Restaurant Services, Ashland, Virginia. It was an honor and privilege to serve as Past Worshipful Master of Welcome Lodge #125. George and Judy, fondly known as Matt Dillon and Miss Kitty, expressed love and devotion for one another, and took the world by storm. He LOVED his Judy. There was no love stronger and more faithful. He enjoyed every family social like it was his last. He loved to sing and give many words of advice and encouragement. He was a strong supporter of the community, and friends alike, giving freely, without reservation. He fondly reminded us all "from whence we came". He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted wife, Judy Johnson Scott ; Sons, George, Jr., Dwayne, Mark, (Tammy), Anthony (Tracey) Scott; Daughters, Deidra, Terri Boston, Debra Stroble and Avis Marsh; Devoted children, Rhonda, Robin and Donald Scott; Sister, Betty Baylor.
