Gladys Lee Anderson was born February 28, 1941 to the union of Edward William Thomas and Louise Henderson in Hanover, Virginia.  Gladys attended school in Hanover County.  She married Charles Junius Shelton in Louisa Virginia on April 9, 1960 and 3 sons were born of this union, Charles Shelton (Montpelier, Va.), James Shelton (Western Australia) and Andrew Shelton (deceased).

Gladys worked in the hospitality/food industry a number of years before working for Hanover County Public Schools.  Gladys remarried Charles H. Anderson in October 1991.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking and having a laugh.

Gladys will be remembered for her loving and caring personality along with a lovely glowing smile.  On August 14, 2018, Gladys was celebrated home.  Gladys is mourned but cherished by family and friends.
