Obituary

Harding Hunter, Jr. went to be with the Lord July 7, 2018 after a long battle with illness.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ella Hunter; daughter, Abby Hunter, four grandchildren and five brothers.

Harding sought Christ at an early age and had his own personal relationship with the Lord.  He attended school in Caroline County, Virginia.  To know Harding, Jr. was to love Harding, Jr.:  a man who would extend his wallet, his home, and his time to anyone in need.  Harding, Jr. was such a man of integrity and principle that he had such great spirits and humor even on his sick bed!

Harding united in marriage to Ella Louise Green in 1967.  Harding was employed for many years by Flipo Lumber Company.  He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Ivory Hunter (Faye); five daughters, Gloria Foster (Matthew), Amelia, Sieglinde, and Stacy Hunter, and Deborah Morris; three sisters, Loranne Tillman (Moses), Mary Johnson (Melvin), Martha Walker (Michael); one foster brother, Mason Tillman; seven sisters-in-law, Gloria Washington (Author), Myrl, Cora, and Vernell Green, Loren Goodall, Sarah Goodall, Vivian Hunter; four brothers-in-law, including Richard Green; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren; three devoted friends, Archie Lee, Bernard Sampson, Delores Baker, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
