Obituary

Helen Louise Fox Kitty Rea was called home to our heavenly home on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at approximately 4:30am. She was the second child of the late Tillman and Ella Mae Sims born on March 26, 1930 in Caroline County, VA.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents Ells Mae and Tillman Sims. Her brothers Tillman, Robert Henry, William, Herbert, and Theodore. Her sisters Jean, Minnie, Aretha, and Ethel.

She was married to the late Arthur Fox and from that union three children were born, Linda, Arthur Leeroy who proceeded her in death, and Michael.

Helen better known as Kitty Rea was a hard worker, as a domestic housekeeper. After the passing of her husband she moved to Washington, DC where she continued her career as a housekeeper and expanded her career as a caregiver for adults and children. She returned to Caroline County and continued her work as a caregiver for many families around the county. She loved taking care and cooking for her patients. Whenever she wasn't working, she was going somewhere with somebody! She didn't drive but she was always on the Go!

She was a faithful member of Jericho Baptist Church and served as vice president of the missionaries and sang on the Jericho Gospel Choir. She attended Sunday school and church faithfully until her health started to fail. She was also a member of the local VFW branch.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Linda and son-in-law Arthur Crutchfield whom both were her primary caregivers. Son Michael Fox (Amelia); grandchildren Rickey Crutchfield, Arthur Fox III, Kendell Fox, Cameron Cosby (Terrance), Monique Fox, Adriene Jamar Fox who preceded her in death, and  Adrianna Fox; 14 great grandchildren; brother James Simms (Joanne); sister Vivian Cosby (Ray).

Her companion Brenda Baylor, and Mrs. Addie Terrell a devoted caregiver. A host of nieces nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Deaconess Drusilla Baylor Henrietta Rock, Christine Burruss, Shirley Clarke, and Christine Fells became more than friends to her.
