Henry Wendell Robinson, Jr. was born on November 19, 1973, to the late Lillian and Deacon Henry Robinson, Sr. "Sonny Boy" as he was so affectionately called, entered eternal rest suddenly on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Memorial Regional Medical Center.

Sonny Boy graduated from Henrico High School in 1992. He continued his education at Strayer University, and he graduated in 2011.

Sonny joined Jerusalem Baptist Church in Doswell, VA at a very early age. He sung briefly in the Jerusalem Gospel Chorus. Sonny was an active member and attended church regularly.

Sonny was employed for 26 years at Reynolds Packaging Group. He retired in 2020.

Sonny loved the Washington Football Team (Redskins). He also loved Nascar and Drag Racing. He was active in Bowling and loved traveling and cooking. Sonny loved fun, food, and family. He was an active Bible reader, and loved gospel music, especially Gospel Artist Kirk Franklin.

Sonny was a "chip off the ole block" like his late, deceased father, who was very humble, loving and kind. They would give you the shirt off their back and wanted nothing in return.

Sonny will be greatly missed by his family, neighbors, and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one loving brother, Timothy Robinson, and his fiancée' Crystal, one aunt Lucille Pleasants, one uncle William Brooks, Jr. (Doris), a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including his devoted neighbors who always loved and supported him.
