Jacqueline Yvonne Thomas (Jackie) was born January 20, 1965 to Frances E. Thomas and Thomas William Orange. She departed this life June 1, 2024 at VCU Medical Center (Medical College of Virginia). She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas William Orange and her brother, Wilson "Nappy" Randolph Thomas.
She was baptized June 2, 1974 by the late Rev. Jessie R. Gatling and joined the Mount Vernon Baptist Church. She attended Henrico County Public Schools. She was employed first at Tyson Foods, then Henrico County Public Schools (Twin Hickory) for 10 years, and finally at Accessible Home Care as a Home Caregiver until her health began to fail.
Jackie was a loving and caring daughter, mother, sister, niece, aunt and friend. She was always there whenever someone needed a helping hand. To know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted daughter, Deasia Jazmine Henley; stepchildren, Brooke Smith, Andrew, Anthony, Anton Lightfoot, and Rod Pressley; devoted mother and stepfather, David and Frances Waddy; a loving and devoted husband for 31 years, Rod L. Henley; two brothers, Preston Orange (Amanda) and Brandon Orange; 2 aunts, Matilda L. Brown of King William County, Va. and Vivian L. Robinson (Charles); three uncles, Harry M. Cousins, Benjamin F. Thomas (Daisy), Clifton C. Thomas (Annessak); one great aunt, Marie C. Woodson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, two devoted, Lorene Waddy and Geneva Anderson.
