James H. Jones (Jack) departed this life peacefully on April 29, 2021 at the residence of his son Chris, surrounded by his family. He was born May 30, 1952 to the Late Charles Ernest Jones and Lucy Madeline Jackson.

At an early age, Jack accepted Jesus Christ as is personal Savior and became a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. He was educated in the Louisa County Public School System.

Jack had a passion to drive at an early age, which led him to obtain his commercial vehicle license. He worked for several local area trucking companies throughout the years until his health failed. His passion didn't stop at truck driving, It also expanded to his love of playing the electric guitar. He played for several quartet groups in Louisa and surrounding counties. Jack was also known as the life of the party, and always kept the crowd laughing.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ernest Jones and his sister Nell Marie Fountain.

Jack leaves to cherish his beloved wife, Gloria Jones, five daughters: Melissa Sylvester (Keith), Cassandra Woodson, Kimberly Tilley (Mike), Vanessa Jones (fiancé Curtis), Jennifer Knighton; two sons: Chris Woodson (fiancé Kamiran) and Melvin Jones; mother, Lucy Madeline Jackson (Ellis); two sisters: Gladys Jones and Lucille Jones; three brothers: Charles Jones (Teresia) Samuel Jones, Jr. (Pat) and Rufus Jones; 15 grandchildren, one devoted, Avanti Hunter, and one great-grandchild; two uncles: Howard Shelton (Geneva) and Matthew Shelton , one great-great aunt Edith Shelton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins: devoted Patricia Wise, and friends, devoted Antonio Johnson and Robert Waller, and caregiver Joleen Barnes.
