Mrs. Jane Claratha Pollard of Hanover, Virginia departed this life on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the age of 73 with her devoted husband of 55 years of marriage by her side. Jane was born on September 15, 1951, in Richmond, Virginia to the late John and Beulah Derricott.

Jane accepted Christ at an early age. She later joined Calvary Episcopal Church where she was a very active member until her health began to fail. Her favorite saying was "This too shall pass". Jane was a registered LPN and retired from Parham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center after 35 years. She loved helping people and was always there whenever you needed anything. Jane loved to bake. Whenever you stopped by her house, you were sure to find a cake sitting on the counter. Jane was constantly asked to make some type of sweets for many of her family and friends. Jane loved to travel with Lewis Sr. and enjoyed visiting new places with family and friends. She also loved just getting in the car with Lewis Sr. and driving with no destination in mind.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents John and Beulah Derricott, brothers Richard Tucker, Henry Derricott, brother-in-law, Edmond Tillman and daughter-in-law Glynis Pollard.

Jane leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband Lewis Sr, two sons; Jeffery and Lewis Jr (Tonya) and daughter; Anna Thomas (Carlton), two loving grandsons, Jeffery (Alicia) and Joshua Pollard; two great-granddaughters, Jaylah and Jayliah; two siblings; John Wallace Derricott (Jean) and Carolyn Tillman, sister-in-law, Martha Tucker and Louise Derricott; one devoted niece; Marilynn Burton and a host of other nieces and nephews.
