Jean Charlene Temple entered into eternal rest on February 13, 2020 at the age of 78. She was born on March 16, 1941 to the late Charles and Marian Morrow. She joined Oak Grove Baptist Church at an early age and attended King William Public Schools. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to James E. Temple on March 27, 1965.
Jean loved to spend time with her family, especially playing cards with her sister Gloria (Bootsie). She was known for her "Thursday Fried Chicken Nights" and potato salad. She was also an avid reader. Her favorite pastime was spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandson.
Jean was a devoted wife and mother. She had a humble and quiet spirit, which was seen in her dedication as a member of the Adult Ushers and Women's Ministry at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Jean was preceded in death by siblings Marsh Morrow, Deanna Trueheart, John-Thomas Morrow, Edward Morrow; and great-grandchild Jayla Luke.
Jean leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving husband of 54 years, James E. Temple; daughters, Jill Anderson (Calvin Taylor), Janella Temple, and Jennifer Temple; grandchildren, Jovia Temple, Janay Temple, Jayvon Temple, and Austin Anderson; great-grandson, Jahlil Temple; sisters, Gloria Hawkins and Carolyn Vessels; brother, Donald Morrow; brother-in-law Henry Temple Sr. (Iva); sister-in-law, Edith Morrow; a host of nieces, nephews, one devoted, Henry Temple Jr., cousins, two devoted, Emmett Wilkerson Jr. and Gary Wilkerson and friends, devoted, Bessie Ann Wilkerson, Thelma Trueheart, and friends at American Renal Associates.
