Jeanette Bazley Fells departed this life on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Ashland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born October 28, 1915 to the late Charlie and Pauline (Polly) Bazley.  Jeanette was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte and Hannah and five brothers, Robert, Arthur, George, Thomas and James.

Jeanette was joined in holy matrimony to the late Manley (Hawk) Fells on July 29, 1950.  Jeanette joined the Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully until her health declined.  She was a member of the Victoria Memorial Choir where she sang for over 60 years and served as President for 35 years.  Jeanette had many sayings, but her favorite was "I'm Blessed" and her favorite bible verse was the 23rd Psalm.  Her favorite color was blue.

Jeanette is survived by her niece, Hattie Smith (Leon); foster daughter Mary Freeman; brother Moody Bazley; sister-in-law Margaret Lewis; nephews Samuel, Kenneth, Lionel, John, Michael (Smiley), devoted, and a host of other relatives and loving friends, including caregivers Murlene Smithers, Ertell Lee, Virginia Jones, Pearl Thomas, Bert Nicholas, Margaret Brown, Dorothy Tyler, Dorothy James, Josephine Morris and Addie Terrell.
