Jessica Monique Winston departed this life on November 2, 2017 at her home in Montpelier, Virginia, after a prolonged illness.  Jessica  was  born  December  8,  1982  to  the  late  Christine  O.  Woodson and James P. Winston.  She is preceded in death by one brother Jonathan Winston. Jessica joined the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church at an early age, and she attended Louisa County Public Schools. Jessica loved braiding and styling hair, and she also loved children, she was always feeding the neighborhood children.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Madajia Miller; son Elijah Winston; a brother, Corey Winston (Kavis); a sister Felicia Wood son; grandparents Clarence and Jean Mallory, and Margaret Winston; life partner Steven (Bowman) Johnson; devoted best friend, and caregiver Jolene Barnes; five aunts, Cynthia Winston-Pryor (Kenneth), Velma Shelton (Franklin), Gloria Jones (James), Beverly Coles, and Carla Mallory; one uncle Anthony Mallory, four great aunts, two great uncles, three  nieces, Nya Anderson,  Berkeley Winston, and Addisyn Winston, and one nephew Mekhi Gresham; extended family Clinton Lewis, Deionedra Henderson, and Haley Crawford; devoted caregivers and friends Brenda Johnson, Della Nelson, Jetta Pryor and Cheryl Searsols; A host of other relatives and frie nds, among them devoted cousin Patricia Wise and friend, Vicky Beckley.
