John Wayne Jolly was born on October 30, 1958, in Richmond, Virginia, and peacefully made his transition on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

John was known for his warm and friendly personality, the kind of morning person who whistled while he worked and was always ready to lend a helping hand. A longtime resident of Ashland, John was a master mechanic and a hardworking craftsman who loved working with his hands. A true jack of all trades, he found joy in fixing things, staying busy, and spending meaningful time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children Kristina Jolly Lyden (Mike) and John Wayne Jolly II, his sisters Lou Wilder, Gladys King, and Debbie Jolly, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by his presence.

John's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life cookout will be held to remember John on Sunday, October 19th, 2025.
