Joshua Lockhart was born on June 2, 1992 to Darron and Tina Lockhart in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He moved to Virginia in 2001, where he spent most of his young adult life.  Attending various schools and achieved academic success, he also attended J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College where he completed their Certified Nursing Assistant program.

Josh accepted Christ at a very young age at Morning Star Baptist Church in North Little Rock, AR and rededicated his life to Christ at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Glen Allen, Virginia.  He also accepted meditation as a form of cleansing and spiritual growth.

Josh had a passion for music and art.  He had a way of expressing his life and the world's problems through his lyrics.  He was loved by many, had a smile and personality that lit up the room, and always tried to help others.

Josh departed this life to enter a place of no more pain and suffering.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jennie Townsend, James and Alverta Lockhart.  He is survived by his parents, Darron and Tina Lockhart; brother, Nicholas Lockhart; sisters, Jennifer Lockhart and Kimberly Townsend Maxwell; son, Courtlyn Lockhart; nieces, Cassie and Nevaeh Lockhart; nephew, Chase Lockhart; girlfriend, Nadia Roane; and a host of aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.

His light and joy will forever live in the lives of his family and friends.
