Julia R. Dabney Tinsley born April 26, 1936 to the late Henry Dabney and Virginia Ella James, joined the Providence Baptist Church at an early age.  She loved taking care of her family and when her children were older she later worked for the Hanover County School System.

She married Hardy H. Tinsley, Sr. on March 5, 1955 and remained a devoted wife for 61 years.  Two children preceded her in death: Craige M. Tinsley and Stacey T. Allen.  She leaves to mourn children: Leslie Dabney(Gladys), Hardy H. Tinsley, Jr.(Crystal), Florence B. White(Claude), and Vonda D. Tinsley Mason(Franklin).  She also leaves Shawn C. Allen Jr. (the grandson she raised) and 11 other grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, a brother Clarence Dabney(Estelle), 5 sister-in-laws Gloria Dabney, Claudine Dabney, Myrtle Tinsley, Viola Trimiew and Lacy Jackson, and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Over the years she faithfully served as a past member of the Deaconess Board of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and as a member of the CBA Deacons Conference & Women's Auxiliary.

Julia Tinsley, you've gained your wings, no more pains to endure here, so rest in peace.  Your family will surely miss you and will always love and remember you.

Her famous saying was "Don't worry about anything, time takes care of everything."
