Karl Clifton
Lewis
January 26, 1963 – April 4, 2020
Karl Clifton Lewis, 57, born January 26, 1963 passed on April 4, 2020 in Ashland, Virginia. He was the youngest son of Naomi Garnett Lewis and the late Leroy Lewis, Sr.
Karl was a fun, loving, and charming baby! He was a very talkative little boy! Being the youngest, Karl devised ways of getting everyone's attention by practicing karate moves and wrestling styles. As he grew, he began to notice the opposite sex; need we say more on the subject?!
Karl had a gift of gab like his father, he could hold a conversation with anyone who would listen. He worked in the security world which he did proudly until his health began to fail.
As he lived in various rehabilitation centers he always stayed hopeful telling anyone who would listen that ''when I get out of here, I'm going to get my GED and get a job as a security officer".
He always had a plan: as a child he realized he needed a savior; he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Calvary Episcopal Church in Hanover County, Virginia under the leadership of Rev. Thomas Brown.
He is survived by a son, Devonte'; four daughters, Sheena, Khadijah, Kayla and Kahnisha; grandchildren; mother, Naomi G. Lewis, sister Nachay Lewis, brother, Leroy Lewis, Jr. (Renea); aunt, Helen Lewis Jackson; nephews, Charles and Corey Hill, Lamonn Lewis and niece, Lanita Lewis and loving devoted like a sister, Lola Williams.
