Leander Sylvester Green, 69, of Ruther Glen, Virginia slipped quietly and peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Henrico Doctor's Hospital.  Sylvester was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, where he attended faithfully.  He was an avid hunter and member of the 600 Hunt Club in Caroline County, Virginia.  He loved all types of music and was a big jokester.

Sylvester leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife of 45 years, Linda Green; a devoted son, Adam Green (Rosalyn); two granddaughters, the apples of his eyes, Anerria (Ree) and Ananda (Duke); a loving and devoted mother, Mrs. Vernell Green Baker; brothers, Roy Green (Diana); Joe Baker (Manita), Jerome Baker, Bruce Baker, Ricky George (Veronica), Ron George (Beverly), and Jeffery Henderson; sisters, Renea Baker and Dina George (Ronnie); three aunts, MaryAnn Smithers, Eloise Green, and Christine Pleasants; mother-in-law, Margaret Moore; two brothers-in-law, six sisters-in-law; two supportive friends, C.C. Twisdale and Linwood Moore; a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.
