At an early age Leroy joined Rising Sun Baptist Church where he began a lifelong journey of faith. Blessed with a radiant personality and an infectious sense of humor, he had the remarkable ability to fill every room with laughter and light. Leroy loved to dance and entertain, creating moments of joy that will forever linger in the hearts of all who knew him.

Leroy shared a beautiful partnership with his beloved wife, the late Madlen Shelton. Together, they traveled to countless churches, where Madlen graced congregations with her piano playing and Leroy stood steadfastly by her side, providing strength and companionship.

Leroy's earthly journey was preceded by the passing of his siblings Edith Shelton Bland, Curtis Shelton, Harvey Shelton and Frank Shelton, as well as his son David Shelton and daughter Peggy Tyler.

Leroy legacy lives on through his loving family. Leroy is survived by his cherished granddaughter, Monique Tyler (Edwina); his devoted sister, Lucille Shelton Pryor; his steadfast brother, Clarence Shelton and a host of adoring nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.
