Obituary Marie C. Peele, 84 of Richmond, Va., entered into eternal rest in Jesus on May 22, 2015. She was a native of Ashland, VA and was born on May10, 1931. She was educated at Gandy School in Ashland, VA. In 1955, she married Rudolph James Peele and was preceded in death by her husband. From that union two children were born, Deborah Peele Perry and Michelle Peele Harris. In 1982, she received Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior, and became a member of Meadowbridge Church and Deliverance Center in Richmond VA. She later moved her membership to New Life Full Gospel Baptist Church in Varina VA. In 1994, she became a member at the Ashland Christian Center in Ashland VA. She was a former employee of Union Theological Seminary, where she retired in May 1996, after 30 years of service. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert and Wesley Carter and 1 sister, Margie McCann. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her devoted daughters, Deborah P. Perry (Charles) and Michelle P. Harris; sisters Anne Wright and Marilyn Simmons of New Jersey (Eugene);6 grandchildren, London, Tony, Danique, Kristy, Anthony and Danita; 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of other caring relatives and friends.
