Marie C. Woodson departed this life October 6, 2024. She was a member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church where she served as an usher for many years before becoming a member of the Church at Henrico where she attended for years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Woodson; daughters, Claudine Woodson, Marie E. Woodson, Rebecca Brown (Nelson), and Katherine Woodson; and a son, Ronald Woodson (Michelle).

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, four sons, James (June), Leroy, Charles, and Ralph (Patricia): four daughters, Mary Myers (Junius), Claudette Brown (Otto), Paulette and Barbara Woodson: a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren: one brother, Harry Cousins: a host of nieces and nephews: one devoted niece, Frances Waddy and a devoted friend, Vernell Washington.

She was loved by all of the brothers and sisters at the Church of Henrico, where she served as a church Mother. She will be greatly missed by all of her church family.

We thank God that we had our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great-Great-Grandmother for these many years. You will be greatly missed.
