Mary "Arlene" Hill departed this life on April 04, 2019, surrounded by her children and sister. Arlene was a devoted and faithful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a very quiet, yet loving, kind and considerate person. She was always willing to help others. She opened her home up to many. She would feed you if you needed or wanted a meal. If you were in need of anything, she would find a way to provide it for you. She was a mother figure to many.

Arlene will be missed by many, as she has touched so many lives. To know her was to love her. If you ever needed her, she was available.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Purcell Stevens; husband, Roye L Hill SR,; son Roy L Hill Jr.; brothers, Leonard and Bernard Stevens.

She leaves to cherish so many memories: Six children; Craig (Anita) Hill, Connie Hill, Cynthia Legette, Wayne Hill, Brinton Hill, and Stacy (Tyrone) Scott; Nine grandchildren; Lamont Phillips, Tiffany Berkeley, Crystalyn Hill, Conta Hill, Brittney Hill, Zazmen Greene, Brinton (Christina) Hill Jr., Jordan Winston, and Donavan Hill; Four great grandchildren; Aniya, Jaylyn, Kemontae, and Michael; One sister, Blondie Hunter; Three sisters in-law; Pearline Stevens, Florene Thompson, Fannie Hill; One brother in-law; George (Joyce) Hill; Nieces and nephews, one devoted, Malik Hassan; A host of other family and friends, amongst them three devoted: Adell Stevens (cousin), Kim Armstead and Connie Twiggs.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm on April 09, 2019 at Second Mt Zion Baptist Church, 31220 Old Dawn Rd, Hanover, VA 23069. Interment: Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
